Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port is a small town which is popular for tourists in the mountainous areas of the Basque Country.It has been a post station as the base of the French side, where the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela stop since old days. The pilgrims enter Spain here across Pyrenees and go to Santiago de Compostela in approximately 780km away.
